Six therapies. What each one is, and why people book it.
Running on empty, however much you sleep?
An hour lying back in a pressurised chamber, breathing oxygen through a soft mask. Your ears pop like on a plane, then most people fall asleep.
The oxygen chamber- You wake up tired and stay tired all day
- You’re recovering from an operation or a procedure (with your doctor’s OK)
- You want one hour a week where nothing is asked of you
Tense and wound up by the end of the week?
A private cabin with infrared panels that heat your body rather than the air, so it’s comfortable for the full thirty minutes. You still sweat.
The infrared sauna- You carry stress in your neck, shoulders and back
- You’ve trained hard and want to warm through afterwards
- You like a sauna but not the scorching heat
Getting over a procedure, or looking after your skin?
A private room with a panel of red and near-infrared light. No UV, no tanning. You sit or stand in front of it for thirty minutes.
The red light room- You’ve had cosmetic surgery, like a facelift, and your surgeon is happy for you to come
- Red light is part of your skincare routine
- You want to add it straight after an oxygen session, as many clients do
Wired but tired when you lie down at night?
A mat with coils inside that send slow magnetic pulses. You lie on it fully clothed; most people feel nothing, or a faint tapping, and drift off.
- Your mind won’t switch off
- You want to lie completely still for thirty minutes
- A sauna or a massage isn’t for you
Legs heavy after a run or a long shift?
Long sleeves zip over your legs, trousers on, and squeeze in slow waves from your feet up while you lie back.
Compression boots- You run, cycle or train regularly
- You’re on your feet all day: nurses, hairdressers, retail
- You’ve just had a long flight or a long drive
Shoulders up round your ears from the desk?
The chair reclines to zero gravity (legs raised, your weight spread evenly) and massages your neck, shoulders, back and legs. You choose the strength.
- You sit at a desk or drive all day
- You want a full-body massage without booking a therapist or making conversation
- It’s your first visit and you’d like to start with something familiar
- Getting over an operationOrthopaedic, cosmetic, the lot. We work alongside your care, never instead of it, and we check first.Ask Angelo
